Sri Chakra Archana

Sri Chakra Archana

Sri Chakra Archana, or Sri Chakra worship, is a Hindu practice that involves the worship of a diagrammatic representation of the deity. The Sri Chakra is a geometric pattern of triangles, circles, and petals, and is considered the highest form of Devi worship.

Here are some details about Sri Chakra Archana:

  • Significance
The Sri Chakra is said to contain all deities and divine potencies, and is believed to bring blessings in many areas of life. The central dot, or bindu, in the Sri Chakra represents the highest consciousness, where the Divine Mother and Lord Siva exist in a state of oneness and bliss.
  • Methods of worship
There are two methods of Sri Chakra worship:
    • Bahirayagam: In this method, the Sri Chakra is worshipped with a Moorthi. The worship is done in stages to the nine different Sthanam, Tatvam, Roopam, and so on of the Goddess.
    • Antaryagam: This is an internal worship method that is considered very difficult and only possible for great Yogis and Tapasvis. In this method, the nine points of the Sri Chakra are marked inside the body and realized within oneself.
  • Presiding deity

The presiding deity of the Sri Chakra is the Goddess Lalita, also known as Tripurasundari, Maharajni, and Rajarajesvari.
